This series needs to be better recognized. It started off back when Flash was an entirely new thing, and yet the creators, without any prior experience, managed to make something great from the word go. The characters are original, intriguing, and incredibly creatively designed; the world around them is all of those things put together; and its critique of modern-day life, compared with constant tips of the hat to its fans, make it just about the best thing ever. Halo PC is a must-have for the true retro PC gamer. Halo represents an important step in the development of first-person shooters as a genre, and as much as it has been a poor influence it has also introduced revolutionary ideas to the video games industry and therefore represents an important piece of gaming history.
